Diwana Bhel Poori House Description:
Just near Euston Station, this pioneer of Drummond Street's bhel poori houses keeps serving south Indian vegetarian snacks at incredibly low prices. Try bhel poori (puffed rice and crackers with various toppings and flavourings), dosas (sculpted pancakes usually filled with spicy potato mash) and vegetable curries. The interior is very basic, café-style and stuck in the varnished pine era, but this doesn't detract from the cheer engendered by low prices and good food. It's BYO alcohol.
