Adams Cafe Description:
Adam's goes from lunchtime café to a friendly bistro in the evenings serving good, no-nonsense meals. Inspiration from Tunisia reflects the chef's origins (he is from Djerba) while the front-of-the-house welcome comes courtesy of his English wife. Set dinners run from £11.50 for one course including mint tea or coffee through £14.50 for two courses and £16.95 for three. Take your pick from the traditional likes of brik, perhaps filled with tuna (egg-filled crisp pastry); Tunisian ratatouille; or brioutte (pastry filled with seafood). Main courses are grilled brochettes, with fresh fish to the fore. Also on offer are couscous and tagines. Desserts include an almond tart and pastries. Drink Tunisian or Moroccan wine, Tunisian digestifs, mint tea with pine nuts or Arabic coffee.
