The Cuckoo Club Description:
The private members club operates in the basement while the ground floor is run as a restaurant and bar which you have to book in advance. The place itself rather than the food is the attraction---the restaurant is dark, with purple armchairs and black tables lit by purple lights which surprisingly don't make you look like a Halloween victim. There's also a stage for live music to liven up the atmosphere. The menu is modern and as fashionable as the clientele: seared tuna with pickled roots, Koshihikari rice and a dashi emulsion; confit veal with Jerusalem artichokes, razor clams, pine nuts and trompette; and desserts to delight. Drink house cocktails and indulge in people-watching. 2 courses £40, 3 courses £48.
