Princess Garden Description:
The Princess Garden opened in 1983, but it has stayed the course as one of London's top Chinese restaurants. It's all very establishment, even expense account, with a corporate but comfortable feel to the clean décor, enlivened by some very good Chinese art on the walls. The menu ranges widely, from fresh lobster served various different ways to sautéed beef with lemon grass, lamb with black pepper sauce or crispy chicken Cantonese style. The dim sum menu makes it a popular lunchtime spot, the Hong Kong chefs producing delights like seafood dumplings with spinach, or filled with pork and crab meat, or fried squid cakes with sweet corn. Service is professional, there's a good wine list and the restaurant has long opening hours. Set lunch £12; set dinners £30-£88; all per person (minimum two people).
