The Ebury Description:
The Ebury is big and bold with the main action concentrated on the ground floor with a private dining room above. New owners have introduced a new menu, which hits all the right notes. Try skewered prawn with papaya and chilli or the now obligatory acorn-fed Ibérico hams with manchego cheese to start, then move on to a simple burger (though with balsamic red onions), or char-grilled poussin with asparagus, lemons and Pecorino. Desserts might include sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and butterscotch sauce and Eaton mess. The downstairs bar and restaurant is all wood and leather, comfortable and generously spacious. Sit at the bar for oysters, various shellfish or small plates such as Etna olives, salted almonds from Cordoba and a bowl of chips. The atmosphere is buzzing, the clientele smart.
