Triple George Grill Description:
The centerpiece for this handsome bar and grill, featuring lots of rich dark wood and a stainless steel exhibition kitchen, is the massive 38-seat bar. There's a glassed-in wine closet, semi-private booth seating, traditional table-and-chair seating, old-Las Vegas photos adorning the walls and a piano lounge that also serves as a private room. The extensive menu and even-more-extensive wine list appears to be designed for every taste and pocketbook. Among appealing appetizers are bruschetta, salmon cakes and oysters Rockefeller; soups include New England chowder and shrimp bisque. Broiled salmon or chicken Caesar is popular, so are George's chopped salad and shrimp Louie. We like the charbroiled ahi and pan-sautéed Alaskan halibut, served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, baked Idaho potato or rice pilaf, as are all seafood dishes, and steak and chops. George's favorites include chicken potpie, baked cod, bacon-wrapped meatloaf and beef stroganoff. Among house specialties are cioppino, grilled Dungeness crab cakes, roasted lemon-herb chicken and veal piccata. Sweet finales include Theresa's carrot cake, George's ice cream puff and bourbon bread pudding.
