D&J Bistro Description:
This is a pleasant place in the "country" for very good bistro fare. Its unassuming location is in a strip mall, but once inside it feels all-out French. Though the kitchen likes to dabble outside its main cuisine now and again, the fare is very authentic, with French onion soup, steak frites and profiteroles making a nice three-course dinner. When you're in the mood for something else, know that go-to dishes include seared scallops with soba noodles and crab ravioli atop black pasta with baby bok choy. The wine list is excellent and offers some real values. Service is very cordial and knows what is going on---in and out of the kitchen. We just wish the waits (even with reservations) weren't so excruciatingly long on weekends.
