OnO Surf Bar & Grill Description:
Gone is Cook's on the Beach at The Westin Maui Kaanapali Beach, and you won't miss it. Taking its place is the very pleasant OnO Surf Bar & Grill, located on a shady patio near the beach. A reggae band played on stage beneath the palm trees, and young hotel guests swayed in the shade to the flowing, tropical beat. We had a massive salad tossed with fresh island greens, grilled chicken, feta cheese, tropical fruits, avocado and grilled peppers with a creamy garlic dressing. The lunch/dinner menu has choices that range from trendy snacks to soups, salads, sandwiches, stir-fry, pizza, burgers and dinner entrées like macadamia-nut-crusted mahi mahi. Nothing exotic, just good food with a broad appeal. If you're a chocolate freak, have some friends help you with the macadamia fudge pie: a macadamia nut ice cream with an Oreo crust, fudge topping and caramel sauce---absolutely sinful. It's casual yet classy at OnO's, just what you'd hope to find in a resort. It's the kind of place you expect to see a Tom Cruise look-alike behind the bar.
