We're about an hour and a half from the Blue Moon and we stop by whenever we're in the area, as well as, drive up a couple of times a year, just to go the Blue Moon. The menu is good old fashioned homestyle cooking with a nice blend of Mennonite recipes. Nice portion sizes, quality ingredients, properly prepared and prompt service. One of the few places we've found MGD on tap. Our favorite entertainer there is Erick Traplin.

Great atmosphere - the Blue Moon has live entertainment many nights, definitely on Friday and Saturday nights, not sure about other nights. Where else can you have a good pub style meal and listen to live entertainment starting at 6:00 pm? I really enjoyed the music of the 2 musicians that I heard (different times)- one played Neil Young, CCR,etc. and the other played a mixed bag with some cute songs for the kids. Enjoyed the decor - old pub with a big tree in the centre. People seemed to be enjoying the pool table and shuffleboard in the games room. Nice place to relax with some friends - the music is not too loud, so you can easily carry on a conversation. I had schnitzel both times - once with sauerkraut, once with red cabbage. There were lots of other choices on the menu - but I love schnitzel!

For the type of place, the food was of acceptable quality; the service is the problem.
The waitress seemed to have no concept of how dining worked. The appetizers came after the main course, and when we pointed out that this was not accepatable, the excuse was that that was how the kitchen had prepared things. She also didn't seem to know much about the items featured on the menu.
One of the beers on offer, when ordered, was not available for a considerable time, as they had to change the keg - I chose another one, as if it was that old, I didn't want whatever was left in the lines!
The whole place seems to be served by amateurs! Given that meals for three came in at just about $100, one expects better!
