Spices Description:
With a central Kihei location and food available all day, Spices is a convenient stop for those looking for a sit-down eatery. Located at the front of the Maui Coast Hotel, the restaurant offers open-air seating overlooking Kihei's main drag. Early risers will appreciate breakfast items such as cinnamon french toast and banana macadamia nut pancakes while the eggs Benedict with mango hollandaise sauce is a favorite. Lunch features salads, sandwiches and burgers, including handheld pleasers like wings, mozzarella sticks, calamari, and fish 'n' chips. We like the burger, broiled to our liking. The kalua pork quesadilla is also hearty and appetizing. Dinner offers a selection of meats and seafood such as macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi served with tropical fruit salsa. Chicken piccata and Hawaiian-style cioppino is also available. The Texas stuffed steak, filled with cream cheese and jalapeños, and wrapped in bacon, is unusual yet appealing. A few wines are available by the bottle or glass, and there's a full bar.
