Knotty Pine on the Bayou Description:
Folks just can't resist this down-to-earth, friendly little roadhouse in an idyllic country setting only 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati. A big part of the draw is the laid-back deck (glassed in during colder weather), a perfect place to linger over a Dixie beer and watch the sun set over the green Kentucky hills and the lazy Licking River. Cajun dishes like gumbo and red beans and rice are popular, but there are more rewarding things we'd rather order: oysters, for example---cold and fresh on the half-shell, or deep-fried, crispy without and melting within---and the perfect grilled halibut, moist and smoky. Don't ignore the hamburgers and steaks, either; the latter are a real bargain. It's impossible to feel uncomfortable at the Knotty Pine; it's a place where you don't have to be anybody but yourself.
