Restaurateur Wes Zane brings a modern sensibility to this upscale restaurant and bar featuring nearly 50 wines by the glass, double-size martinis and an eclectic menu of contemporary comfort food served with style. The menu is tantalizing and it is difficult to choose between the arugula, watermelon and feta salad drizzled with a pomegranate-balsamic vinaigrette and the red and golden beet salad with goat cheese mousse and candied pistachios. So do what all sensible folks do: order both, and you will not be disappointed. For entrées you cannot go wrong with the classic paella Valencia-style, opakapaka Chinese-style or one of the grilled meat offerings of beef or lamb. The comfort food continues to the dessert menu from which one can order bananas Foster, chocolate bread pudding ala mode and crème brûlée.
