Locanda Fontanabuona Description:
Set in the Monferrato hills south-east of Asti, the 'Locanda Fontanabuona' has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Starters include focaccette accompanied by lardo di colonnata, the primi include tagliolini alle ortiche with melted butter and mint, and an asparagus flan with fonduta. Main courses include wild boar with polenta.
The wine list includes Australian and Chilean labels as well as many local Piedmontese offerings.
