Le Vichyssois Description:
After many years in business, owner-chef Bernard Cretier continues to make culinary music at his charming country French restaurant and gallery. Certainly one should consider starting with luxurious vichyssoise, served hot or cold. Then move smartly into a luxury seafood dish such as John Dory with Champagne sauce or salmon en croûte with dill sauce. When in the mood for duck, know it's always a good choice here, especially when it's prepared with tasty green peppercorn sauce. Vegetable accompaniments add panache to the seasonally inspired entrées. In our experience, the desserts aren't always exceptional. The four-course bistro menu---offered Wednesday through Friday and Sunday---is a bargain at $28. Service, as one would hope and expect, is professional.
