In the southwest suburbs---or anywhere, for that matter---Courtright's is a fine-dining establishment worth a visit. The seasonally changing menu does a pleasant ramble through a cuisine that straddles a line between sensibly creative contemporary and regional American. The range is extensive, as in foie gras terrine with sweet onion-peach chutney or Carolina wreckfish with cauliflower-purple mustard purée, olives, baby fennel and lemon-thyme emulsion. Dishes we've enjoyed are the Swan Creek duck breast with roasted apricot, Danish Blue, kohlrabi and wilted watercress in cardamom duck sauce and braised rabbit leg stuffed with bacon mousse. Grilled rib-eye with creamy quinoa, baby carrots and grilled asparagus with sauce Choron has served us well, too. The window tables look out onto a forest preserve, so snag one if you can and begin by perusing the topnotch wine list. When in a more casual mood be sure to check out the lounge menu, which features upscale edibles like homemade potato gnocchi with spring asparagus.
