The huge retro sign reading 59 Diner, reminiscent of a 1950s malt shop, is your cue to pull over for old-fashioned diner fare. Inside, red vinyl booths, an authentic soda fountain and vintage memorabilia captures the essence of the Happy Days generation. The blue plate specials include chicken-fried steak, served with mashed potatoes and Texas toast. Thin-sliced onion rings are a hit as a side to burgers, chili dogs and myriad sandwich selections.
