Town Description:
Town continues to live up to its motto of "Local first, organic whenever possible, with aloha always." The subtle flair and the care of Town's chefs and owners Ed Kenney and Dave Caldiero has allowed this restaurant to become what they dreamed of when they started out: a neighborhood spot where people could drop in any time of the day and eat well. You can sit outside with dog owners and eat a breakfast of gently poached eggs served with braised greens, raisins, pine nuts and sausage over a golden fried slab of polenta or have the famous burger with shoestring-style french fries. Then stop by for a dinner of pillow soft gnocchi and slow-cooked pork shoulder. Our favorite time to visit is in the late afternoon when we like to sit at the bar, have a glass of vinho verde with an order of the fries and a bowl of the house-made grapefruit-Campari sorbet. The artwork changes frequently, and the bistro-style layout of the restaurant encourages up-close conversation with your dining partners. The wine list also exudes character---small, boutique vineyards are featured with many options available by the glass---and you'll find fresh grapes in the caipirinha and lavender from the chef's garden in the Town Collins.
