Murphy's Bar and Grill Description:
This downtown pub is located in an historic nineteenth-century saloon where King Kalakaua himself was known to bend an elbow. Now, it's a top downtown spot for lunch and drinks and snacks in the evening. At lunch, we're fond of the salads, like the Caesar with seared ahi or the massive Cobb salad with plenty of bacon, blue cheese and turkey. The hamburgers are substantial here, and there's a daily special. Look for big crowds watching major sporting events on satellite TV, and if you're in Honolulu for St. Patrick's Day, do not miss the party at Murphy's.
