Big City Diner Description:
This is perhaps the best of Hawaii's new family restaurants. The worst part is waiting for a table. The best part is the local menu, including seared salmon on locally grown greens, Mamasan's monster meatloaf and fried rice with kimchi. The latter is perhaps only for the initiated, but we love the tang of spicy Korean preserved cabbage. This is a something for everyone sort of place, from a reasonable wine list for dinner to Oreo and hot fudge sundaes for the kids.
