Pescatore Italian Restaurant Description:
Traditional Italian cuisine with a nostalgic glance to the Old Country and a firm grasp on island trends does well in downtown Hilo, and for good reason. We like this little Italian restaurant, where it's hard to choose between old favorites, many with an unexpected island-style twist. The décor is intimate, with dark woods, white tablecloths, red chairs and lace curtains. Try the cioppino, the marinated lamb chops, seared fresh fish, or the sautéed chicken with basil, garlic and tomatoes. The wine list, with some nice French and Italian choices, holds our interest. Kids go for the pastas on the menu, and breakfasts are a treat with waffles and crêpes.
