Tahiti Nui Restaurant Description:
A lot of people love the Nui, as it's known locally, for its old-fashioned Polynesian charm. The funky building definitely has character written all over it, harkening back to a time when Hanalei was much more laid-back. From its broad, shady porch to its rattan bar, it's campy in the cool way that comes from being totally authentic. The fare is mostly pub food: pizza, burgers and salads. But the scene is better than the food. The bar, with its lethal mai tais and local clientele, is usually hopping. Live entertainment and karaoke keep things lively, and there might even be a fight outside in the wee hours of the morning.
