Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant Description:
Built on the site of a historic boat shed and located in a scenic spot with lush tropical foliage at a bend in the Hanalei River, the Hanalei Dolphin is an old favorite among locals and visitors alike. It's not fancy, but it's a reliable place on the North Shore to get fresh, local fish. Still, the prices seem a bit high given the decidedly uninspired menu. That said, the ceviche (also available as take-out at the Dolphin fish market, along with sushi rolls) is dynamite. The rest of the offerings are a predictable mix of steak, shrimp, chicken and chowders. Lunch is beef, chicken or fish burgers and salads.
