Leon's Full Service Description:
Making the most of a former filling station turned antiques shop, Leon's Full Service is a name that reflects not only its former existence but its current one. Chef Eric Ottensmeyer grew up in Berlin, Germany, and his presentation of that old Berlin street dish, curry würst, is much better than any we've had on its home turf. Here, the snack is made with a hot dog composed from local beef, and the curry infuses the tomato sauce, rather than simply being sprinkled on top. The fresh-cut fries are first-rate, and may be enjoyed with any of several homemade sauces (we opt for the house-made aïoli). Stout-braised beef brisket is piled into a thick slice of crusty bread, and served open-face, making a light meal for a cold evening. There's a very good wine list, but as this establishment is a sibling to the Brick Store Pub, it is most known as a brew spot. Both draughts and bottles reach to the depths and heights of brewdom, both imported and craft domestic.
