Jean-Claude Rigollet is no publicity hound, and his restaurant built of tufa stone at the foot of the château de Chinon will never attract those who go out to see and be seen. Just as well. His faithful customers and tourists in the know can better appreciate the elegant surroundings and fine set meals. The set menu is a paragon. Superb choice of Loire wines at reasonable prices; smiling welcome.
