J & J Oyster Bar Description:
Possibly the most casual restaurant in town, J&J's also happens to serve some of the best cheap food in the metroplex area. Big, juicy oysters are shucked to order, naturally. Mounds of "u-peel-em" shrimp and crawfish are cooked only when your order is placed. Topnotch grilled items include red snapper, shrimp, tuna and scallops. And there's also a terrific plate of grilled fish tacos. Fried oyster po' boy sandwiches continue to be a favorite, while additions, such as oysters Rockefeller and crab cakes, are gaining ground. The cold beer comes in giant schooners and pitchers, both perfect for quaffing while watching ball games on the dining room TVs or on the busy, breezy patio.
