Cottage Place Description:
Since 1994, Frank Branham, former executive chef of the Woodlands Plaza Hotel, and his wife Nancy have run The Cottage Place, a fine-dining establishment begun in 1980 in a vintage-1909 Flagstaff bungalow. Branham's cuisine roves the world, with appetizers like tequila lime jumbo shrimp and French escargots; and main courses including a rendition of beef bourguignon, lamb chops in port wine sauce with goat cheese, and mushroom ravioli with hazelnut cream sauce. An extensive, deep wine list further strengthens this restaurant's appeal as a local special-occasion destination.
