Tom's Oyster Bar Description:
The most visible location of Tom's Oyster Bar is strategically situated across the street from the Renaissance Center, home to General Motors Corporation and its thousands of office workers. Still, it is pure Tom's, exuding an unpretentious feeling. Oysters on the half shell are spotlighted, of course, but there are many more sea creatures to choose from. Surprisingly, the pasta dishes and a good, old-fashioned hamburger are worth trying, too. This is one of several Tom's restaurants, but they are not clones. Each has its own personality with lunch menus reflecting the tastes of the neighborhood. Check out the specialty beer and wine list.
