Lola's Description:
Lola's, in the Harmonie Park area of downtown Detroit, is the city's go-to place for soul-filling American fare with a South American and Caribbean flourish. Indulge is chicken potpie soup; jalapeño-kissed, bacon-wrapped shrimp; and crab, crawfish and corn fritters with a Jamaican relish and pineapple honey mustard. And don't forget The Detroiter, a salad of mixed greens, red and green grapes, dried cherries, blue cheese, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers and red onion strings served with a Michigan cherry vinaigrette; ask for some grilled chicken and turn it into a meal. Food aside, Lola's also is the place for some of the city's best---and most creative---music.
