OK, so it's a bar. And all right, all you can get to eat here are burgers and fries and onion rings and such. But people come in ones and twos and families from all over the west side of Detroit for those burgers. Here, simplicity is a virtue: Don't ask for lettuce or tomato; they aren't available. But people accustomed to fast-food hamburgers with a tiny patty and loads of cold garnish are in for a pleasant surprise. What makes Miller's hamburgers so good is the meat itself. How is it done? Who knows? Who cares? Careful: If you come at mealtime, you're almost certain to find a line. Minuses? Waitstaff could be a lot friendlier, and waits for your order can drone on.
