Mi Cocina Description:
Mi Cocina makes good tacos al carbon that are great for hearty appetites; they come with rice, bean soup, guacamole and pico de gallo. We also like the tacos de camarron, crisp tacos filled with grilled shrimp, which come with an avocado-tomato salad and arroz blanco. Mi Cocina offers plenty of combination platters, as well as lunch specials every weekday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa served here are a notch or two better than at most places, but we can't resist dipping our chips into an order of the zesty salsa cha cho, a tongue-tingling blend of poblano, queso, garlic, bacon and tomato. Waits are long at prime time and if you don't want to be around kids, go for a late dinner.
