De Tapas Description:
Tucked away deep in The Village on the Parkway, De Tapas may be hard to find, but it's worth the effort to eat at this friendly little family-run spot. The menu of these tapas, or little, appetizer-size plates, supplemented by daily specials, may not be large, but there are some real jewels available, like the pescado adobado (marinated, fried whitefish), which dissolves on the tongue. We like the garlic shrimp, the lean, almost sweet serrano ham, and the marinated white asparagus; and are surprised to find ourselves liking the fried smelts, that you squirt with lemon and eat, bones and all. But perhaps what will disappear the quickest from your table here is the tasty potato omelet. Order two!
