Manzanita Inn Description:
Lovers of traditional fine dining make the trek to the Verde Valley town of Cornville, 15 miles southwest of Sedona, to dine at the Manzanita Restaurant. Swiss-born-and-trained chef Al Kramer has cooked for international luminaries as diverse as Queen Elizabeth II, Mohammad Ali, the Kennedys and Elvis Presley. The made-from-scratch food, which features fresh produce from the restaurant's garden, includes such haute standards as lamb shank braised in Burgundy, lobster with lemon and drawn butter and filet mignon with wild mushrooms---plus the chef's childhood favorites, including sauerbraten and Wiener Schnitzel with onion straws and spätzle. Presiding over the homey dining room are Kramer's wife Isabelle and their daughter Esther.
