Set in the cozy and romantic Camden Harbour Inn, Natalie's offers the atmosphere of turn-of-the-century Paris surrounded by the crashing waves of the Maine coast. Chef Lawrence Klang brings the flavors of France, Italy and New England together in dishes like roasted veal sweetbreads with celeriac purée, sure to bring to mind a dinner along the Seine. Fricassée of escargots is rich and sweet with a creamy hazelnut-infused gnocchi to start, and an entrée of almond-and-honey-roasted breast of duck invokes Asian touches with a daikon fondant. Sole en beurre noisette is a delicate nod to classic French cuisine brought down to earth with a house-made Maine crab ravioli, a merger that continues into dessert with local apples in a Tatin with rosemary and caramel or a simple blueberry and raspberry pie.
