Ca' Bianca Restaurant Description:
This stately white Victorian with a wraparound veranda and a shaded patio is a striking and comfortable former home. The owners have done a spectacular job remodeling the interior. Pale gray murals of Italy decorate the wall spaces framed with wood moldings. We like the polenta topped with Gorgonzola and sautéed mushrooms for a starter; the pasta dishes include light spinach gnocchi, spaghettini with clam sauce, and ravioli stuffed with salmon and mascarpone. We also recommend the pollo ca' Bianca---a sautéed breast of chicken topped with spinach, red onion and Fontina---and the sautéed pork loin in a brown sauce. Chef's specials include roasted rack of lamb, tortellini stuffed with eggplant and, for the truly adventurous, sliced veal heart. Save room for the chocolate terrine. The selections of port, grappa and wine are first-rate.
