Ikebana Japanese Restaurant Description:
Probably the freshest sushi in the Salinas area (according to my wife). I'm not into fish at all, but there's a large number of beef and vegetarian sushi dishes - enough to keep me interested. The Texas Holdem Roll is outstanding!
The rolls are not skimpy, either. You will "fill up" with fewer dishes than many sushi restaurants.
Not interested in sushi? You can get the standard Japanese dishes (teriyaki, tonkatsu, etc). All very well done.
They also have a number of Korean dishes - probably the best Dol Sot Be Bim Bab on the central cost - beating out even Marina!
It's changed owners, so the "all you can eat sushi" Mondays are a thing of the past. The new owners have invested considerably in the decor - the place is now very pleasing to the eye.
The staff is attentive and seems to be very experienced.
