America's oldest continuously operating restaurant, Ye Olde Union Oyster House. looks all of its nearly 200 years (in a good way). Grab a seat at the curved raw bar, just as Daniel Webster used to do. Or see if you can't score JFK's upstairs booth. In short, by all means soak up the creaky old atmosphere---but don't expect your meal to wow you equally. Much of the New England-style seafood is cafeteria-grade; the clam chowder tastes as though it's thickened with flour and sauces are gloppy as well. Oysters on the half-shell and a cold one make for a fine snack, however.
