Top of the Hub Description:
Restaurant located on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center tower.
There is an underground parking lot for the Prudential Center, with a discount for a validated ticket. The restaurant is walking distance from the Prudential (Green E Line) and Hynes (Green B, C, and D Lines) MBTA subway stops.
Celebrated for its views from 52 floors above street level, Top of the Hub is often derided in the same breath as a tourist trap. We're not disagreeing; with lobster and steak entrées nearing the $50 mark, prices are on a par with some of the city's best restaurants, and this isn't one of them. That said, the kitchen does turn out some surprisingly creative contemporary combos. A salad of roasted beets is dribbled with dill oil and walnut pesto. Pastas include rigatoni with braised veal breast and morel mushrooms. Spice-crusted salmon comes with a béarnaise reduction and parsnip purée, while a 12-ounce Prime sirloin pairs with accompaniments du jour. Still, it tastes best with the twinkling skyline for a garnish, so be sure to make a reservation far enough in advance to guarantee a window table. If you just want drinks (which really isn't such a bad idea), there's a nice lounge and nightly jazz.
