Located in The Grove Hotel amidst the hubbub of the BoDo District, Emilio's offers its mostly traveling clientele comfortable seating in overstuffed soft-leather booths amid an interior of simple Scandinavian lines. A high, recessed ceiling in muted tones lends a light, airy feel to the room while white-opaque and brass chandeliers offer a touch of grandeur and subtle illumination. Fresh flowers adorn tastefully set tables. The sophisticated menu from executive chef Christopher Hain includes a porcini-dusted Angus tenderloin in a spicy Cognac mustard sauce, and a tangy hoisin barbecue Kurobuta pork shank paired with slightly sweet, star anise polenta and saké-infused Black Mission figs.
