Transformed into an open, three-room beauty with mixed-media brick and Mediterranean-colored walls, high ceilings, and tall, wide street windows that open in summer months, this once-crowded space is now spacious and appealing. Alas, the food can be mediocre at best and disappointing at worst. Specials such as the house-made, sage-seasoned pork sausage served over fettuccine tossed with creamy pomodoro sauce, as well as the pork, lamb and artichoke lasagna layered with a buttery caper sauce and a sweet marinara, fail to impress. Stick to the regular menu and choose the bolzano (linguine with zucchini, broccoli, sweet pepper and red onion with garlic and tomatoes) or the rosarno (chicken breast with fettuccine and garlic cream and tomato-pesto sauce). For those desiring slimmed-down Italian, Asiago's offers a low-carb menu. Added in this transformation is a wine bar and two small party rooms, the Cask Room and the Piazza di Conundrum, both adding to the plus side.

The food at Asiago's is wonderful, and as the reviewer states the restaurant has become a "mainstay in Boise" for serving consistent, great food.
I've eaten there many times when traveling to Boise, and the food has only gotten better and more consistent in the last couple of years. The food is anything but mediocre. This restaurant holds its own with top restaurants in any of the big city markets.
I'd recommend Asiago's to anyone who appreciates fresh Italian food that's beyond traditional Italian fare. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable--you won't be disappointed.

(2008) The Bolzano is outstanding as is the salad L'enigma. One would have to sample several different dishes to find the one that meets their particular taste but in all the taste and presentation is splendid.
The interior is decorated in old Italian colors with unique art work. There are three separate rooms that provide a unique feel. The restaurant provides for casual, formal and romantic experiences. The rooms also provide for special event meals.
