Bombay Grill's menu offers traditional Indian fare with an emphasis on tandoori and curry dishes featuring chicken, lamb and shrimp, along with a wide range of vegetarian dishes. But it's not necessarily the food that draws the bustle. Housed in the historic 1901 Idanha Building (a once-upon-a-time hotel that catered to Teddy Roosevelt, Will Rogers and Clarence Darrow), the ambience is old-world comfortable with heavy, dark walnut woodwork and brass railings. The restaurant sits half a level up from the street so one can watch the passersby with a sense of privacy. Service is skilled yet unobtrusive.
