DaDong's ducks are crisp and lean and the dipping sauces are many. The roast duck is presented with just the right amount of ceremony and waitresses kindly demonstrate the art of duck pancake construction for the uninitiated. The menu has close-up photos of dishes and English translations and is a dream to navigate. But there's much more than just duck. Try the stewed cod in a pumpkin bowl and there's a whole host of imaginative seafood and vegetarian options, such as iced rose flower soup and a pot of bubbling sour Mandarin fish. It's best to stick to local beers to complement the food here. The décor is an offbeat mix of traditional---the tables are made of dragon-etched wood---and modern, with glowing wall panels seared with a bamboo design. Service is bang-bang efficient, and a tad brusque, and little English is spoken.
