Parking:

All reserved, public and coach parks will be signposted by the AA on all approach routes. If you have a reserved car park label, please display this clearly as you approach Sandwich.

Public Transportation:

Scotrail operate rail services to Troon. For further information and train times, call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 or visit www.scotrail.co.uk.

General Rules:

Cameras can only be used on practice days.
Mobile phones must not be used while on the course or in grandstands. There will be several public telephone units located within the tented village.
Step ladders or similar are not permitted within the paygates and should not be brought to the course.
No pets are allowed on the course and we respectfully suggest that you do not leave your pet in the car.

Miscellaneous:

There are many licensed catering points both on the course and within the tented village.


Driving direction to Bedford Corn Exchange:
Strathclyde Police recommend that motorists travelling to The Open use the designated routes, all of which will be clearly signposted by the AA. The designated routes are as follows:
Travelling from the north and east:
Drivers should use the A77 and A71.
Travelling from England and the south:
Drivers should travel north on the M6 and A74. Exit the A74 at Junction 22 and follow the A75, A76 and A77 to Troon.
Alternatively, drivers may continue on the A74(M) to Junction 8 before following the A71 and A77 to Troon.
Travelling from Glasgow and Paisley:
Drivers should use the A77 or A736.

Traffic reports will be broadcast on local and national radio and information will also be available on the Strathclyde Police website at www.strathclyde.police.uk
