Mitsui Japanese Restaurant Description:
Japanese cuisine is in top form at Mitsui, from the classic to the nouveau. Appetizers range from traditional spicy calamari to kushi yaki, a hearty skewer of shrimp, chicken, scallop and peppers marinated in a curry or teriyaki sauce. Japanese soups and salads are available, too, including Mitsui's new-style sashimi salad---the sushi bar's most popular seafood served over romaine lettuce, cucumber, avocado and dried tuna flakes. Sushi rolls include classics like the Alaskan roll (smoked salmon, cucumber, avocado and mayonnaise rolled inside out, perfect for the novice sushi eater) and special rolls like the white tiger roll (spicy tuna and seaweed salad rolled inside with tuna, eel and avocado on top). Entrées are served in a variety of styles---teriyaki, tempura and katsu, among others. The staff is very attentive, the food fresh, and the vastness of the Mitsui menu offers patrons the chance to enjoy a unique dining experience upon each return. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and highly recommended.
