Thai meets Contemporary at Tommy Chungsakoon's Ten-O-Six. This simply decorated postage stamp of a place attracts an older suburban crowd, despite a location in the eye of the youthful bar-hopping hurricane that sweeps through South Baltimore most evenings. Just take a seat at a table to realize why. Entrées are divided into separate American and Thai menus. The American list includes such luxurious entries as rack of lamb with goat cheese mashed potatoes, pan-seared duck breast with raspberry demi-glace, and flambéed steak Diane. The Thai menu takes a more or less classic approach to authentic dishes, with a few creative additions, such as pan-seared wild flounder with an avocado curry sauce. Innovative and attractively turned-out food like this usually comes with a high price tag, but Ten-O-Six's prices are moderate, and servings are generous.
