MT Washington Tavern Description:
The lacrosse crowd collects in the bar to swap stories of the big game over brews and raw bar selections while the dining rooms fill with area regulars who flock here for the bonhomie that permeates this neighborhood restaurant. It is a pleasant place to dine; in summer the garden room's roof retracts to admit fresh air, while in winter a dose of sunshine through large windows restores slush-slogged spirits. The please-all-comers menu roams widely, from nachos and lump crab and lobster spring rolls to Reuben and Cuban sandwiches to entrées like pan-seared tuna, chicken Marsala, and double-cut lamb chops with mint chutney. We only wish the kitchen were as consistent as this place's friendly disposition.
