Goldberg's holds firmly to its premier spot in Atlanta's delicatessen firmament. Freshly baked bagels, salt sticks and addictive onion bialys make Goldberg's Atlanta's idea of the classic deli. All the trimmings are here, from homemade cream cheeses, baked salmon spread, egg salad, chopped chicken liver, whitefish salad and specialty items from knishes to pierogi. The deli sandwiches and hot dogs (all kosher Best) are reliably first-rate. Besides the normal deli fare, this location does omelets, matzoh brei (eggs scrambled with matzoh, cinnamon and sugar) and even grits.
