Zuma Sushi & Sake Bar Description:
Is it a sushi and saké bar? Or is it a sports bar? It's all of these, serving very good sushi and top-flight saké while you dine at a sushi bar that sits in front of a large, flat-screen TV tuned to sports. Good meal deals here allow combinations from a generous assortment of items. We like the crunchy salmon roll, presenting five slices of seaweed-enclosed, lightly batter-dipped salmon roll that emerge still rare in the middle. Masago and shredded scallions adorn the dish. We're not sure we're up for a Viagra roll, but others may wish to jump in. They lose points for pink pickled ginger, rather than the unvarnished natural color, but not for the potato salad, flecked with green apple and carrot. Another nice touch---the silver metal chopsticks. Chilled saké comes only in large amounts, so we go for either beer or the green tea. Service is uninterrupted from the restaurant's opening until its close, making late lunch, snack or early dinner all possibilities. Also located at 701 Highland Ave., Inman Park, 404-522-2872.
