La Grotta Description:
Located to the west of town, not far from the Asti Ovest (Asti West) exit from the autostrada, La Grotta was founded by the celebrated chef Giovanni Fasciola in the 1950's, and has recently been refurbished. Classic, definitive Piemontese cuisine is served here in an elegant but informal atmosphere; it's very popular with the locals, so booking is recommended. The wine list includes over 80 wines from the province of Asti alone.
