Spenard Roadhouse Description:
The contemporary décor of wood, vivid colors, metal and glass has attracted a wide range of locals longing for atmosphere and good food minus the white tablecloths, candles, and high priced menu. While the food quality is not always consistent, the menu is original with across the board appeal. Starters range from ahi to garlic popcorn. Our favorite dish is the Cubano sandwich with braised pork, barbecue sauce, ham, onions, mayo and Swiss heaped high on ciabatta bread. The children's menu is simple, nothing fancy or overly inventive, but the vegetable plate mixed in with the standard fare is a welcome option. And there is even s'mores for dessert. The full bar offers a passable wine list, flights of bourbon, infused vodkas plus specialty drinks, along with eight local beers on tap. This is an affordable, enjoyable place to spend a night out on the town.
