Sack's Cafe & Restaurant Description:
The vibrant personality of Sacks Café & Restaurant radiates right onto the street; its storefront colors of burnt orange and mustard yellow evoke a warm feeling, even in the midst of the blue and white winter. Inside, a wood tapas bar dominates the entrance, while the décor is accented with paintings by local artists that change with the seasons. The team of chefs works together combining fresh Alaskan ingredients with unexpected Asian flavors to keep the menu interesting. We find the salads to be original and tasty, especially the bacon and apple salad with flecks of chèvre and a lavender maple vinaigrette. The tomato soup is touched with Gorgonzola. Menu items have included fresh Alaskan silver salmon served with deconstructed spring rolls, Asian vegetables, a soy maple glaze, jasmine rise, wasabi aïoli and chili oil. Sacks Café also offers a varied wine and beer list. A different flight of wine is featured each week. A friendly and knowledgeable staff enhances the experience.
